One of the first things to go as we age is our range of motion. Our muscles tighten and we can no longer reach as high as we once could or twist to our side without having to move our entire body with us.
A proper flexibility program can not only help with range of motion but can also improve balance, and reduce injury and pain.
So it is time to see how you measure up. Can you touch your toes? Can you reach your arm all the way up to be in line with your head and neck? Can you reach an object that is placed behind your without having to turn your hold body around? Can you perform all of these tasks without pain?

Not so great? Don't worry flexibility training is not difficult to implement into your day, but it is important you start now so the problem does not worsen. Make it a habit to stretch for 5 minutes a day, preferably after a workout - that way you knock out two good habits in one session!
